Journey of Devotion-3
Roop Chand features a sadhu's face with temples on either side and bells above. The sadhu, symbolizing deep spiritual dedication, is framed by the temples, representing divinity and sanctity. The bells above evoke a call to prayer, reinforcing the theme of devotion. This integration of human and architectural forms reflects the idea that true devotion resides within the individual, transcending physical spaces and bridging the earthly and divine.

Roop Chand is displaying his 'Sadhu' series. He began drawing and sketching sadhus during his early art education. Inspired by visits to temples and interactions with sadhus, he has created numerous paintings and drawings. The expressions of the sadhus' faces, their attire, and especially the tilak on their foreheads have deeply influenced his work. This fascination with the figure of the sadhu is evident in his art, where their forms naturally emerge, drawing the viewer's attention. His paintings predominantly feature black-and-white tones, with selective use of color, particularly highlighting the tilak of the saints.
